Mission Statement
Danae’s Training Center is dedicated to maintaining the highest standard of grading students, and is committed to providing students with the necessary skills and attitudes to secure employment in their field of training.  Danaes’s strives for pride, dignity, and self-respect in its student body.

School Objective
At Danae’s Training Center we are dedicated and committed to helping each student to achieve his or her goal of becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant.  The training facility is designed to accommodate each student’s individual growth while in training.  A student who is motivated and determined to be a success in their Nurses’ Assistant career will find a wealth of opportunities, including possible employment at the Newton-Foster Home Care Agency.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, and speak as well as read & understand English, as determined by a written evaluation.  The applicant, prior to the first day of class must complete an application, enrollment agreement, and a physical and PPD vaccine.  Students will be expected to provide the school with two (2) valid forms of identification.  One must contain a photograph.  We will also require a criminal history check provided through the state police.

Student Conduct
Students are expected to conduct themselves as professionals.  To exhibit behavior that is conducive to a Certified Nursing Assistant, whether in the classroom or clinical setting.  Disruptions will not be tolerated while in the classroom.  A mature and responsible attitude is required at all times.  Students are expected to follow the rules and regulations as set forth in the student handbook at all times.  Violations of the rules and regulations could be cause for termination at the discretion of the Director.

The Curriculum provides for the following Instruction:
When you complete the training program, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • An ability to perform basic procedures safely, economically and effectively, as determined through performance observation. 
  • An ability to respond and record procedures/observations accurately and clearly to report an overt abnormality.
  • An ability to communicate effectively with patients and health care staff for either agency or hospital. 
  • A basic understanding of the legal and ethical basis of nursing aide practice.
  • A basic awareness of normal body functions both physical and mental in order to recognize and report deviation. 
  • A basic awareness of common, physical and mental disease conditions.
  • An ability to work effectively in the health care Field as a Certified Nurses’ Aide.
